A Dialysis Journey

 Let’s See . . . ? ? ?

One thing I think is that English should be the American national language. Isn’t that obvious?

Another thing I wonder is NOW did ALL THOSE LATINOS get here? I live in central Virginia and not being any longer involved with farming, I only realized that there are a “few” here. However, no matter where they are, it burns my ass that they come here and “we” provide EVERYTHING and ANYTHING for them; where in a country they could not provide for themselves and came here with the only expectation was to GET a good living. How many came here with the expectation of learning how and going back “home” and making things work right there?

And then there is the gov’t ... OMG!!!! ... HOW is this going to become different than it is? WE MUST find people who ARE different than what has been AND are strong enough to both be themselves and surpass all the “lesser” souls amoung them. We obviously have MANY “lesser” souls ... people that are motivated by greed . . . WHAT do you think about John McCain? WHAT do you think about Barack Obama? WHO else do you think about for president? I’m also considering John Edwards ...?

I heard a thought provoking statement not long ago: You might be Republican but those you enjoy talking with are usually Democrat!!! (ain’t that a great statement!!!!?) It provoked me, being a registered Rep and all!!! Although I have always thought (and voted) independently . . . of course!!!

What else is going on? the move (of course) ... can’t wait to have a new location/environment to work with!!!

don’t want to write too much here == boring!!!

any statements?
any questions?

 Nothing Particular

Right now I’m not really in the mood to write. I’m just sitting here with a cup of coffee, thinking (OMG = we’ve decided that that is not really the most productive thing to do!!!).

I finally had my catheter out Tuesday two weeks ago and all things are working well. I’m still brused but I am on Cumidin because I have a pacemaker ... so .... that will go away shortly. I can now take a shower!!!

Billy, my housemate, has had company this weekend. He’s 50, she’s 48 and I have witnessed the most incrediable display of irresponsibility out of her that I have been witness to since I was oohhh ssaayy 20-something or younger!!!! blah, blahblah blah blah yattayattayatta can I say more? yeah, but you get the picture!!!

Since we’re moving the first of December and the bus schedule there doesn’t run concurrent with my dialysis schedule now I’m gonna have to change my dialysis time. Our local transit system does have vans that carry those of us that are in wheelchairs. But the charge is $3 per ride and if you add that up @ 3 or 6 rides per week, times four weeks = way too much money for my budget!!! I have other things I want to do with $36 OR $72/mo.

Our apt is just a bit far to “wing it” a distance from another bus stop. But, I have the feeling that we are going to figure out how to do that “wing it” route. The buses that go by our apt stop running about 6p and both of us are night souls and we will probably figure out how to do that “wi” route quite quickly!!!!

The “wir” (“wing it route”) doesn’t have sidewalks all the way and part of the “wir” is where cars go through there faster than they should —> I know, bec when I drove, I used to go there faster than I should!!!!!

Time for me to go .... dialysis and the bus calls!!!

see you later

 Moral of the Story:

DON’T put all your drugs in one backpack!!!

I had had unwelcome company coming in my house and taking my Valium —> three, maybe four times best I can figure. So, we decided to put the V and my Percoset in my backpack ... not, for a moment considering that it would all be gone in one foul swoop.

Well, it was ALL GONE in one foul swoop sometime Sunday morning from the foot of my bed. If, indeed you are going to be ripped off, please be ripped off by somebody you don’t know. I think I know who did this and I’m concerned that he’s gonna do something more. We live in an old house and it’s easy — no matter locked or not — to get in.

So, now, we’re headed for no less than three places to put these drugs!!!!

More another time —> too tired sitting here now.

any statements?

thank you

Yesterday I Wrote Another Post That Disappeared

The computer monster is at it again!!! I wrote a long post with comments about odds and ends ... oh well, I’m starting this one with the fact that we had an invader this morning sometime. Bound to be a guy I know ... grabbed my backpack ... he lucked out bec in it were Percocet, Valium, $55, and cards. We called the police right away and the bank.

Being INVADED is not a good feeling. The last two weeks of high school somebody took my bag out of my locker; years ago a friend and I were in Canada and we got back to the van and it had been broken into ... my camera equipment had been taken and someone found the satchel and mailed it back to me; my mothers racoon coat was taken out of my van; my backpack was taken out of my truck; my backpack was taken out of my house; and now this. WHAT A BOTHER!!!! money, necessary cards, medical info, my cell phone and info, my will, living will and power of attorney, necessary phone numbers, notes, blahblahblah . . .

I’m curous: does anybody think that Osama bin Laden is dead? Do you know that European and Asian news has reported it a few weeks ago? I STILL want to know what he did with his dialysis machine while he was moving around the mts of Pakistan and Afghaistan?

I wrote some things about a renal committee I am on —> but, I’m gonna write that again later . . .

My catheter is scheduled to come out on Tuesday!!! My new graph is working well ... finally . . .

I’m gonna have to write more later, right now I’m tired, need to get back to my list and need to eat something.

any questions?
any statements?

thank you
